Yellow Turmeric Rice
Serves: Four | Prep: 5 min | Cook: 25 min
Ingredients:
Cilantro Lime Rice:
3 Tbsp butter
1 cup long grain white rice
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp turmeric
2 cups chicken stock
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
Directions:
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add rice, stir, until the rice begins to lightly brown, about 2-4 minutes. Add garlic, onion powder, and turmeric. Mix well and cook for 1 minute more. Slowly add stock. Stir. Bring to the boil, lower heat to low, cover with a lid and simmer, 20-25 minutes. Remove from heat. Let sit, 5 minutes. Before serving stir in salt and fresh cilantro.
