Whole Wheat Olive Oil Crackers

Serves: Ten | Prep: 30 min | Cook: 10 min

Ingredients:

Whole Wheat Olive Oil Crackers:
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tsp salt
2 tsp sesame seeds, divided
2 tsp poppy seeds, divided
1/2 cup water
3 Tbsp olive oil

Directions:
Preheat oven 450F/230C. Line two baking trays with baking paper.

In a large bowl mix flour, salt, 1 teaspoon sesame seeds, and 1 tsp poppy seeds together. Add water and oil, stir and knead until all is incorporated, about 6-8 minutes. Divded dough in half. Place on half of the dough onto the lightly floured baking paper and roll out into a rectangle that is 1/8-inch thick or thinner. Repeat with the remaining dough. Sprinkle the rolled out doughs with the reamining sesame and poppy seeds. Press seeds into the dough with a rolling pin. Cut dough into 1/2-inch squares. Bake for 10-15 minutes, and watch carefully so they do not burn.

Let cool completely before storing in an airtight container for 2 weeks.
