Tortilla Beef Burgers with Big Mac Sauce
Serves: Four | Prep: 30 min | Cook: 5 min
Ingredients:
Tortilla Beef Burgers:
1 lb ground beef
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
4 flour tortillas
4 cheddar cheese slices
letuuce, shredded
tomatoes, sliced
red onion, sliced
Big Mac Sauce:
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 Tbsp Dill Pickle, finely chopped
1 Tbsp ketchup
1 Tbsp yellow mustard
1 tsp Dill Pickle Juice
1/2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
Directions:
To make the Big Mac sauce, mix together the mayonnaise, chopped pickles, ketchup, yellow mustard, pickle juice, sugar, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder in a small bowl. Stir until well combined, then set aside in the fridge to rest for 15 to 20 minutes so the flavors meld.
Meanwhile, prepare the burger mixture by combining the ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until everything is evenly combined, being careful not to overwork the meat. Divide the mixture into four equal balls. Lay each tortilla flat on a surface and press a beef ball onto each one, spreading it out evenly to cover the tortilla.
Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Once hot, place a tortilla meat-side down onto the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until the beef is browned and crispy. Flip it over so the tortilla is now on the bottom, add a slice of cheese on top of the beef, and cook for another 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and the tortilla is crisp.
To assemble, top each burger with shredded lettuce, thinly sliced red onion, and tomato slices. Spoon over a generous amount of the Big Mac sauce and scatter over some extra Pickles. Serve hot, folded slightly if desired, or enjoy flat.
