Oven Baked White Chocolate S’mores with Black Cherry Almond Sauce

Ingredients:
Oven Baked White Chocolate S’mores:
16 Graham Crackers squares
16 large marshmallows
6 oz white chocolate, cut into squares
Black Cherry Almond Sauce:
1 14oz can black cherries in syrup
1 Tbsp cornstarch/cornflour
2 Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/2 tsp almond paste
Directions:
Make the black cherry almond sauce by draining the syrup from the cherries. Keeping both the syrup and cherries.
Take 4 Tbsp of the cherry syrup and put it into a bowl. Add cornstarch a whisk together, until combined.
In a saucepan add the remaining syrup and sugar. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat. Whisk in the cornstarch mixture. Add cherries and cook, 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice and almond paste.
Preheat oven 450F/230C. Line two baking trays with baking paper.
Place all graham cracker squares, bottom up onto the pre lined trays. Top eight of the squares with two marshmallows and the other eight squares evenly with white chocolate squares. Place into the preheated oven and bake for 5 minutes. Let sit for 1-2 minutes before transferring to a plate. Spread the white chocolate with a knife, top with the black cherry almond sauce and place the toasted marshmallow square on top.
