How to Make Simple Syrup
Use equal parts sugar and water. You can make it two easy ways:
Stovetop Method: In a small saucepan, bring the water to a gentle boil. Add the sugar and stir until fully dissolved.
No-Stove Method: Place sugar in a heatproof bowl or jar. Pour in hot water and stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
Let the syrup cool before using it in cocktails or other recipes. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator—it will keep for up to 6 months!
